The Norwayne Local School District has been rated “Excellent” by the State of Ohio for the seventh consecutive year. Our challenge as a district is not only to maintain this rating but to respond to new challenges within the curriculum and state content standards.

Norwayne’s ongoing mission is to emphasize life-long learning by committing to high performance standards and focusing on the unique qualities of each child. Our top priority/vision is for Norwayne students to become self confident, responsible members of the community. Our instructional program provides the opportunity for each student to reach his or her potential and become a life-long learner.

Norwayne Local is considered to be one of the best districts in the state and this distinction only comes with commitment and hard work on the part of the students and staff and the support of a very caring community.

Our goal is to keep all stakeholders informed as we move our educational programs and opportunities forward continually evaluating what is best for our children at every level. With the new building and facilities project (a new elementary school for grades PreK-5, a new high school building for grades 9-12 attached to Norwayne and the renovation of Norwayne into a middle school for grades 6-8) in progress it is a very exciting time for the Norwayne Community.
