Kindergarten Registration and Screening Information

KINDERGARTEN REGISTRATION/SCREENING FOR 2024-25 SCHOOL YEAR:

Norwayne Local Schools opened registration for Kindergarten on March 1.  Parent/Guardians will need to go to Final Forms to create an account and complete the enrollment forms for their child.  Please complete the kindergarten enrollment application by going to https://norwayne-oh.finalforms.com

Please complete the Final Form application by June 1.

MR. WINEBRENNER - TRUE HERO IN THE COMMUNITY

Mr. Winebrenner - Fourth Grade Science - was nominate by a student, Noah.  Noah says, "Mr. Winebrenner is funny and he makes his class fun.  He makes learning fun by doing experiements with us and he shows he cares about me by being very kind and challenging me. "

Norwayne Local Alert System

Norwayne Local has a new alert system this school year.  When you receive your first text message, please respond YES  if/when asked to verify that you want to receive messages.   Messages are also emailed to email addresses listed for parents/guardians in our Student Information Database. FEATHER FUNDRAISER 2023

Our students were challenged to raise money for a local non-profit organization that helps provide food for not only our students, but students county wide!

Fifth Grade purchased the most feathers (318 feathers).  A total of $1,000.00  was raised within the building which will help feed many students in our area!!!

Elementary Math Grant Brings Success

With support from the Martha Holden Jennings Foundation, the district is working with all elementary teachers to shift from “how” to “why” in their practice. The goal is for students to gain a deeper conceptual understanding of mathematics and not just “do” math for procedural knowledge.

BOBCAT COMMUNITY CLOSET

The Closet at 121 S Main St in Creston (right across from the Post Office) offers clothing, shoes, backpacks, coats, hats, gloves, hygiene items, socks and underwear and much more to anyone who could use any of these type of items.  We are open the first and third Saturday of each month from 10am-1pm and can also do private appointments.  All are welcome and all items are free.
